The story of five ordinary women who are far from  being heroines. A blind girl who becomes the caretaker of a group of orphans. A female doctor treating a Russian faces a huge moral dilemma. A teenage girl tries to save her little sister at all costs. An elderly woman does not wont to leave her home. A mother moves to the front to find her son. Their intertwined fates move you to the core and remind you that war is just around the corner.

DIRECTORS BIO

MACIEJ ŚLESICKI is a film director, screenwriter and producer, and an esteemed teacher. He is the founder and Chancellor of the Warsaw Film School. He won the Golden Duck award, and the Best Director award at the 1995 Polish Film Festival in Gdyniafor his film Dad. In 1997 he received the distributors’ award for the box-office success of his film Sara. Twice he was nominatedfor an Academy Award for producing Our Curse and The Dress. He is the producer of the award-winning film,Preserve. He initiated many actions to support film debuts. His latest production is the high-profile film, The Land, made together with students and graduates of the Warsaw Film School.

FILIP HILLESLAND is a film and video game director. Author of short films Tropical Island and Toast, which gained recognition at polish and international festivals. Co-director of the feature film The Land with global distribution on Netflix. Writer and co-producer of the feature film Camper. In the years 2017-2019 member of the jury at Script Fiesta screenwriting festival. During his internship at CDProjekt he took part in directing scenes in Cyberpunk 2077. Director of the critically acclaimed adventure game Best Month Ever published by Klabater. Currently responsible for the narration in the Copa City video game produced by Triple Espresso. Since 2017 memberof the Warsaw Film School faculty.
